Azalee dolls are art dolls which are made with the highest care and passion. Each one of them is a unique one-of-a-kind item.
As an artist, it is important to me to give each doll its own character and expression. With much love and devotion I would like to create works of art that are able to convey feelings and touch hearts.

The dolls are made in my one-person-workshop in the middle of the swiss alps. The alpine Rose, also known as alpine Azalee is located here, thats why they are called azaleedolls.

Comparing with the fast pace of today, it takes a long time to make one of these dolls. Neverthless it is very worthy time which I invest in producing this pieces, because I love the process working on them, finding solutions for problems that may appear, and watching them coming alive step by step. Finally, when I hold the finished doll in my hands, it gives me a deep satisfaction and the courage to start with a new project.

Including the process of making the prototype and the plaster molds a doll takes more than 200 hours to make.
