Helena

This is Elena, radiant and beautiful like Zeus daughter in greek mythology. This doll is all handmade by me and so it is an unique piece of art. It is important to me as doll maker to give every doll its own personality and expression. That's why I called her Elena. She touched me in a sparkling, shimmering way when I assembled her toghether.

Ilayda

The meaning of the name Ilayda is water fairy, mermaid or raindrop in paradise. Maybe she sings a song about tides, waves and shores, like her fish-tailed sisters, when she glides over her underwater kingdom on the back of the big manta.

This doll was made for a small dollmaker competition with the subject seven feet under the keel and ocean. Ilayda achieved third place in her category.
